We have been working on a few projects in India for the last few years - projects involving the betterment of society. The Hunger Prevention Organization site was launched on September 2nd, 2019. On the same day, we were so happy to have food kits distributed to 21 well-deserving families in a remote part of the western state of Gujarat.
We had completed a survey to identify these 21 families from 6 different villages (Bhadran, Bhadrania, Sarol, Sangdev, Gajda, and Pilodara) that are about 16 miles from the city of Anand in Gujarat. Our selection criteria were to find families who are having a difficult time bringing one-time food to their table.
As of July 2024, we are reaching out to 245 families in 39 villages (Alarsa, Anand, Badhadi, Bhadran, Bhadrania, Bharel, Bochasad, Boriya, Borsad, Chaklashi, Chandanpura, Dahemi, Dahevad, Davol, Dedarda, Devapura, Fatehpura, Gajana, Gorwa, Jalsad, Jitodiya, Karamsad, Kathol, Kinhdlod, Mogri, Nani Sheradi, Napa Talpad, Navapura, Navli, Pilodra, Sangdev, Santokpura, Sarole, Sisva, Umlav, Vachhiale, Vadodara, Valasan, Valvod, and Vidyanagar ).
The food kit that we provide lasts about 4 to 6 weeks. The food kit is being distributed to over 250 families every 4 to 6 weeks on a regular basis.
Our goal is to continue to help provide food and keep expanding our reach.
